Important: MonteNova is a learning center providing tutoring support to parents. Parents retain full educational responsibility for their learners. We partner with you to support your child's educational journey.
At MonteNova we want to support parents in helping their learners reach their potential and grow into the person they're gifted to be. We partner with parents to achieve this not only academically but holistically too, while providing opportunities to create lifelong memories.
Our heart is to support parents so learners leave their learning experience with the marks they are capable of, being prepared for life beyond formal education and, importantly, feeling valued and seen as a member of a community.
Life is not just about grades; you need to be a well-rounded person to get to where you want to be. We partner with parents to coach and mentor learners through this, while also ensuring strong academic support and a safe environment for learning.

What Makes Us Different
Small Group Sessions
Maximum of 10 learners per group to ensure individual attention and personalized support for every learner.
Personalized Learning Support
Individual learning plans tailored to each learner's needs and learning style. We work with parents to support learners with different learning approaches because every brain is unique.
Parent Partnership & Mentorship
Our tutors provide academic, social, and emotional support in partnership with parents. We see ourselves as supporting parents to help learners grow into well-rounded and responsible young adults.
Real-World Ready
REAL Life Orientation teaches practical life skills, community outreach develops responsibility and gratitude, and educational outings provide hands-on learning experiences.
How We Support Learning
Curriculum Support & Schedule
- Support with CAPS Curriculum using Impaq as the online platform
- Learning center hours: 9:00am - 14:30pm
- Three subjects per day in longer sessions, allowing deeper focus and reduced anxiety
- Flexible structured schedule provides routine while respecting family autonomy
- Extra tutoring support available 8:00-9:00am on various days
Friday Enrichment
- Morning: Catch-up time for incomplete work
- REAL Life Orientation: Practical life skills like taxes, investments, cooking, and basic maintenance
- Community Outreach: Exposure to community needs and developing social responsibility
- Educational Outings: Learning experiences beyond the classroom throughout Cape Town
Assessment Support & Certification
We support parents through partnership with Impaq, an accredited online platform, which provides formal assessments keeping learners on track to earn their National Senior Certificate. Parents remain responsible for educational outcomes.
Pricing
Important: Parents are responsible for curriculum platform fees (e.g., Impaq), which are paid directly to the platform provider (not to MonteNova). MonteNova fees cover our tutoring support services.

Important Notes
- Curriculum Platform Required: Learners must be registered on an accredited curriculum platform (currently partnered with Impaq). MonteNova provides tutoring support for platform learners.
- Separate Payments: MonteNova fees are paid to MonteNova for tutoring services. Platform fees (e.g., Impaq) are paid directly to the platform provider by parents for curriculum access and assessments.
- Additional fees for readers/scribes during assessments may apply (paid to platform provider if required)
- Learners work toward earning their National Senior Certificate through the accredited platform
